Michael Kulbicki

Michel Kulbicki is a biologist, researcher at the IRD (Research Institute for Development) in Montpellier. He has been working there for thirty years on reef fish. He was first interested in fish from New Caledonia, then in those from the South Pacific. Today, he participates in the study of coral reef fish on a planetary scale with teams from several countries: France, Australia, USA, Brazil, Mexico, Canada. He specializes in the ecology of these species and the organization of their communities on which he studies the effects of human action and climate change.

He was the author of the preface to Poisson-lion! by Éric Rolland, published by Scitep Éditions in the “Common Knowledge” collection
