Always attracted by the sea, Laurent Louis-Jean has been diving from an early age in the waters of Martinique to encounter the flora and underwater fauna.
But it was in 2006 that he really met sea turtles, during an internship at the National Office for Hunting and Wildlife. After a master's degree at the National Museum of Natural History, it is also to these animals and their protection that he devotes his doctoral thesis.
Very involved in the Martinique marine turtle network, in close and constant collaboration with maritime professionals, this young researcher has become one of the few local specialists.
He now works at the Martinique Natural Park.
