Laurence Farraudière is a young scientist from Martinique. This is where she did most of her studies and defended her thesis. She worked under the co-direction of André Yébakima and also of Frédéric Simard at the University of Montpellier. This entomologist is a specialist in the vector mosquito, Aedes aegypti, in Martinique, which transmits dengue fever and chikungunya in the West Indies. Her research led her to the mosquito control center of Martinique and to the University of Montpellier. She is currently stationed in New Caledonia.
She was co-author, with André Yébakima and Frédéric Simard, of the book Alerte aux mosquitoes? , published by Scitep, in the “Current knowledge” collection.
