Jean-Noël Degrace is a divisional engineer at Météo-France. He has been living in Martinique for more than twenty-five years. This passionate meteorological professional is heavily involved in hurricane forecasting and crisis management in the West Indies. where was the initiator of the weather vigilance system.
He has often represented France on the Hurricane Committee for the Caribbean and Americas region under the aegis of the World Meteorological Organization.
Lecturer, trainer and popularizer, Jean-Noël Degrace has long been a referent for the media. He is the author of short films (KesKonRisk) on major natural risks as well as numerous articles for the written press and educational documentation centres.
